Today, I just leave a twit about how Apple’s HTML5 policy makes me angry !
In april, Steve Jobs made a long news on Apple website about is vision on Flash and insisted on how he believes on web standard.
Today, I wanted to try these Apple’s HTML5 showcase but first surprise when I tried to reach them with firefox :

As I am a bit stubborn, I tried to reach directly the URL with Firefox by typing it in the bar, I was then simply redirect on the Showcase Home (you can try it).
So finally, I decided to download the sources and edit the code tu make annoying URLs absolute and it finally worked !!!!!
You can try 4 of the tests on theses specifics URLs :
-> Gallery : http://tisseur-de-toile.fr/apple_html5/gallery.html
-> Typography : http://tisseur-de-toile.fr/apple_html5/typography.html
-> Transitions : http://tisseur-de-toile.fr/apple_html5/transitions.html
-> 360 : http://tisseur-de-toile.fr/apple_html5/threesixty.html
I verified (with Safari ;) ) that no files were missing.
If Chrome is quite reactive, Firefox is just a mess except for the 360…
So I just ask, is it a new way of respecting web standards ? If you’ve got an answer, I would be glad to hear it.
